HGV Class 1 Driver – Full‑time – Birmingham

About the role

Maritime Transport is looking for experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to join its Distribution Division in Birmingham. You can choose between day or night shift patterns (4 on/4 off) and become part of one of the UK’s most successful transport companies.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 heavy goods vehicle safely and efficiently on scheduled routes.
• Follow the selected shift pattern (day or night) and adhere to all road‑traffic regulations.
• Load, unload and secure cargo, including specialised work such as curtain‑side, genset, splitter and ADR loads.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate any issues to the operations team.
• Participate in regular vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.

Required profile

• Minimum two years recent C+E / Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid UK C+E licence and Class 1 entitlement.
• Driver CPC qualification and First Aid certification.
• Commitment to safety, punctuality and professional conduct.
