Hire Desk Controller – Customer Service & Equipment Hire

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Hire Desk Controller to join our Birmingham team. In this full‑time, permanent position you will be the first point of contact for customers needing lifting equipment, ensuring they receive the right solutions quickly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound enquiries and provide detailed information on our full range of lifting equipment.
• Handle hire, sales and service requests, preparing accurate quotations and negotiating rates.
• Maintain clear records of specifications, orders and customer communications.
• Promote Hudson Lifting’s services and products proactively.
• Perform administrative tasks and resolve customer queries promptly.
• Support the team with additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a high‑volume hire desk or customer‑service environment.
• Ability to work independently with strong organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
