Horticultural Technician

About the role

The Horticultural Technician looks after plant installations across client premises, providing excellent customer service and expert advice on the care of interior and exterior designs. This independent, field‑based role involves early starts, travelling to multiple sites in the South‑East region and maintaining both indoor and outdoor displays.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain stunning indoor and outdoor plant displays at various client locations, ensuring each site looks its best.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, act as the friendly face of Planteria, complete site reports and keep accurate records using company systems.
• Collaborate with your line manager and regional team to plan routes efficiently and uphold high service standards.
• Champion safety by following risk assessments, method statements and contributing to the company’s strong safety record.

Required profile

• Great communication skills and confidence speaking with clients and colleagues.
• Customer‑service expertise with a proven track record of going the extra mile.
• Problem‑first mindset, able to find solutions quickly.
• Passion for plants and the outdoors, with genuine interest in horticulture.
• Ability to navigate the South‑East region, drive a company van and hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Independent yet collaborative work style, comfortable sharing knowledge with the team.
• Physical capability to use watering cans, stepladders and remain active throughout the day.
