Housing & Enforcement Specialist

About the role

The Housing & Enforcement Specialist will join the Housing & Enforcement team to deliver expert advice, case management and legal support across the Customer Services Directorate. Working from any of the regional offices, you will ensure sustainable outcomes for customers and the business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist advice on housing law, ASB, tenancy breaches and leasehold matters to frontline colleagues.
• Prepare, expedite and present housing‑related legal cases in court, working with legal partners.
• Conduct complex case reviews, offering fresh insight and resolution strategies.
• Manage a caseload of the most complex enforcement cases, coordinating legal interventions where required.
• Deliver training and up‑skilling sessions for frontline teams to raise service standards.
• Facilitate shared learning and continuous improvement across the department.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management and anti‑social behaviour (ASB) policies.
• Experience handling complex enforcement cases and preparing legal documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain legal processes to non‑legal staff and customers.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
