Housing Litigation Solicitor – Manchester

About the role

Duncan Lewis Solicitors is seeking three experienced Housing Litigation Solicitors to join its Manchester team. You will work within a nationally recognised housing department, handling a diverse range of public and private housing matters.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Department Director and take ownership of all aspects of housing work.
• Manage a varied caseload including homelessness applications, disrepair claims, eviction and possession proceedings, property ownership disputes, unlawful eviction, succession rights, and neighbourhood anti‑social behaviour issues.
• Conduct advocacy in court where appropriate and represent clients at all court levels, including the High Court.
• Attend to clients, take instructions, prepare case files and correspondence.
• Maintain accurate time‑costing and billing procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with proven experience in housing litigation.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Strong advocacy and client‑handling skills.
• Commitment to delivering effective, timely solutions for landlords and tenants.
