HR Business Partner – Workforce Restructuring (Manchester)

About the role

Meraki Talent is partnering with a global matrix financial services firm to hire an experienced HR Business Partner focused on workforce restructuring and transformation. The role is based in Manchester with a hybrid working model (one day per week in the office) and is initially contracted for six months.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and support allocated change programmes across multiple entities.
• Lead the HR workstream for restructures, LEE transfers, outsourcing, insourcing, new site set‑ups and cross‑entity/global projects.
• Partner with in‑country HRBPs, Employee Relations teams and specialist HR functions.
• Manage project initiation, due diligence, consultation, implementation, communication, governance and risk management.
• Collaborate with the Centre of Excellence to ensure best‑practice delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in large‑scale workforce change, restructuring and high‑volume redundancy programmes.
• Strong background working with unions, works councils and in highly unionised environments.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver TUPE‑related projects internationally.
• Deep knowledge of current UK employment legislation and compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder, project and change management capabilities within matrix organisations.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data reconciliation, large data set handling).
