HR Officer

About the role

We are seeking an HR Officer to support both management and employees across the full employee lifecycle for a leading organisation operating in hospitality, travel, retail, leisure and international events. You will help develop the HR function, ensure day‑to‑day operations run smoothly and maintain compliance with UK employment law.

Key responsibilities

• Provide employee‑relations advice, manage grievances, disciplinary processes and investigations.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment, advertising, screening, interviewing and issuing offers.
• Conduct onboarding activities, including Right to Work and DBS checks.
• Maintain accurate employee records in line with GDPR and prepare contracts and HR documentation.
• Administer absence, holidays and employee data, and support performance appraisal processes.
• Coordinate training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and monitor legislative updates.
• Produce monthly HR reports and statutory documents (P60, P45, P11D, PSA).
• Assist with monthly payroll processing, timesheet checks and pension auto‑enrolment.
• Support health & safety compliance and manage return‑to‑work cases.

Required profile

• Experience delivering HR administration and employee‑relations support.
• Knowledge of UK employment law, GDPR and health & safety requirements.
• Ability to manage recruitment, onboarding, payroll assistance and performance processes.
