HR Operations Administrator – Temporary, Birmingham

About the role

Reed Further Education is seeking an HR Operations Administrator to support a busy HR function within an education setting in Birmingham. This temporary position offers the chance to work across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring accurate records and smooth recruitment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Maintain up‑to‑date HR records and systems.
• Support recruitment activities, including job advertising, onboarding and pre‑employment checks.
• Respond to HR queries from staff and managers via email and phone.
• Ensure HR processes are completed accurately and on time.
• Carry out audit checks to guarantee compliance and data accuracy.
• Assist continuous improvement initiatives within the HR function.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an HR administration or similar role.
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage workload and adapt to changing priorities.
• Level 2 Maths and English (or equivalent).
