HR Specialist – EMEA (12‑month Fixed‑Term Contract)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading US law firm to find an experienced HR Specialist to support HR initiatives across the EMEA region. This 12‑month fixed‑term role will cover employee relations, compensation, benefits, recruitment and onboarding for both business services and legal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Take notes at disciplinary, capability and grievance hearings.
• Arrange meetings and conference calls, prioritising conflicting appointments.
• Manage the full new‑hire process and support leaver procedures.
• Coordinate induction activities, including welcome packs and induction meetings.
• Liaise with recruitment agencies on vacancies, CVs and interview scheduling.
• Issue onboarding training reminders for EMEA new hires.
• Oversee Return‑to‑Work processes with local offices and global HR.
• Support annual performance and compensation cycles for lawyers and business services.
• Attend performance evaluation meetings and record discussion notes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of specialist HR experience within a law firm.
• CIPD qualification or progress towards it is highly desirable.
• Strong organisational and judgment skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Chrome River expense management.
• Familiarity with Workday HR platform.
• Knowledge of ADP iHCM payroll system.
