In-House Lawyer

About the role

Our client, a growing commercial organisation, is seeking an experienced In‑House Lawyer to join a small, expert legal team on a remote, six‑month contract. The role will focus on protecting the business through robust contract management, risk mitigation and governance support.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, sales and partnership contracts.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal and regulatory risks, developing internal policies to ensure compliance.
• Advise the board and senior management on corporate governance, structure and regulatory matters.
• Manage litigation, regulatory inquiries and coordinate external counsel and budgets.
• Oversee the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.

Required profile

• Law degree or equivalent qualification (LLB, LLM, SQE, LPC, CILEX, etc.).
• Proven experience in a busy contracts/legal team, preferably in‑house or public sector.
• Valid practising certificate.
• Strong knowledge of data protection and related legislation.
