Industrial Door Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Industrial Door Engineer to join a well‑established specialist engineering business covering Manchester and the wider North West. This is a great opportunity for an engineer seeking a long‑term position with a company that values its engineers, provides ongoing training and offers excellent earning potential through overtime, call‑outs and performance bonuses.

Key responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs
• Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
• Installation and commissioning of industrial doors
• Servicing and maintaining industrial door and shutter systems
• Completing accurate service and job reports
• Liaising professionally with customers on site
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Participating in the 1‑in‑5 call‑out rota

Required profile

• Previous experience working on industrial doors and shutters (auto is a bonus)
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills
• Good knowledge of industrial door systems
• Experience with servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Professional approach when dealing with customers
• Good health and safety awareness
• Full UK driving licence
