Insurance Sales Advisor – Household & Renewals

About the role

We are seeking an Insurance Sales Advisor to provide quotations, policy advice and renewal options for home insurance customers. You will turn enquiries into sales while delivering excellent service and meeting regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls for new business and renewals.
• Generate accurate quotations for household insurance products.
• Convert quotations into new business sales and negotiate competitive renewal terms.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities such as motor, travel, landlord or legal expenses insurance.
• Explain policy cover, exclusions and optional extras to customers.
• Process mid‑term adjustments, cancellations and policy amendments.
• Maintain accurate customer records using the company’s CRM and insurer systems.
• Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) standards.
• Achieve individual sales, retention and quality targets.

Required profile

• Experience in insurance sales or renewals, preferably personal lines.
• Strong telephone and customer service abilities.
• Proven ability to build rapport, negotiate and handle objections.
• Comfortable working to sales and retention targets.
• Knowledge of FCA regulations and Consumer Duty is advantageous.
