Interim Financial Controller – Immediate Start (3‑6 months)

About the role

This interim position offers an immediate start for a seasoned finance professional to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing consultancy in Central London. You will work closely with a Fractional CFO and senior leadership, providing commercial insight and stability during a period of rapid change.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and commercial reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management processes.
• Provide financial insight to support strategic decision‑making.
• Strengthen financial controls, systems and reporting frameworks.
• Manage and develop a small finance team.
• Partner with operational stakeholders across the business.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Head of Finance within an SME.
• Ability to combine commercial involvement with a pragmatic, hands‑on approach.
• Proven credibility with senior stakeholders and operational teams.
• Experience in consultancy, professional services, recruitment, agencies or project‑led businesses.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent experience).
