Interim Financial Controller – Immediate Start, Potential Permanent

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing, privately‑owned consultancy in Central London. The role starts immediately and is initially a 3‑6 month assignment, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and commercial reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management processes.
• Provide strategic financial insight to support decision‑making.
• Strengthen financial controls, systems and reporting frameworks.
• Manage and develop a small finance team.
• Partner with operational stakeholders across the business.
• Support senior leadership through a period of rapid growth.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Head of Finance within an SME.
• Commercially minded with a pragmatic, hands‑on approach.
• Ability to build credibility quickly with senior stakeholders.
• Experience in consultancy, professional services, recruitment, agencies or project‑led businesses.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent experience).
