Interim Management Accountant – Multi Academy Trust

About the role

We are seeking an Interim Management Accountant to join a growing Multi‑Academy Trust in Manchester. Working closely with the CFO and school leaders, you will provide financial insight, strengthen controls and support strategic decision‑making during a period of expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse management accounts, budgets and forecasts for the Trust.
• Produce regular financial reports for senior stakeholders.
• Maintain and improve financial control processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with school leaders to support strategic financial decisions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA).
• Proven experience in management accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial control expertise.
• Confident communicator with senior stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
