Interim Treasury Officer

About the role

The University is seeking an Interim Treasury Officer for a three‑month fixed‑term contract within its Treasury team. Reporting to the Associate Director of Treasury & Business Planning, you will support liquidity management, cash flow forecasting and banking administration across the University, its subsidiaries and associated trusts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor daily and weekly liquidity reports to ensure sufficient cash for operational needs.
• Coordinate and produce cash flow forecasts in partnership with budget holders and key stakeholders.
• Execute accurate bank reconciliations for university and subsidiary investment accounts.
• Post treasury‑related journals, including interest, deposits, transfers, sweep movements and loan repayments.
• Manage banking administration such as user access, mandates and account maintenance.
• Support treasury reporting and provide data for quarterly reports.
• Assist with audit requests, banking queries, KYC processes and treasury‑related projects.
• Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements and the maintenance of robust financial controls.

Required profile

• AAT qualified, ACT qualified, or currently studying towards a relevant professional qualification.
• Previous treasury, cash management or finance experience in a commercial, public sector or higher‑education environment.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with experience handling large volumes of financial data.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
