Intermediate Electrical Engineer

About the role

We're working with a well‑established, multi‑disciplinary property and construction consultancy looking to appoint an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to its growing M&E team in Billericay. This role offers the chance to take greater ownership of projects and work across a diverse portfolio including commercial, education, defence and residential developments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver electrical building services designs from concept through to completion, producing detailed designs, specifications, calculations and technical reports.
• Liaise directly with clients to establish project briefs and budget requirements, review tenders and provide technical recommendations.
• Carry out site inspections, surveys and condition reports, and monitor projects throughout construction and installation.
• Collaborate closely with Mechanical Engineers and other disciplines, producing designs and documentation using Amtech, AutoCAD and Revit.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience within electrical building services design, preferably in a consultancy or multi‑project environment.
• Comfortable communicating with clients, contractors and wider design teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit and Amtech.
• Good understanding of UK building services standards and regulations.
