Internal Auditor – Birmingham

About the role

Menzies is seeking an Internal Auditor to join its Birmingham office. You will provide an independent, objective service that monitors business operations, ensuring effective risk management, governance and control processes for not‑for‑profit public sector organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Attend meetings with auditees to understand business processes.
• Research and assess risk‑management processes, recording results using audit software.
• Conduct audit testing, identify control issues and raise recommendations.
• Prepare reports for client managers and address any queries.
• Evaluate compliance with regulations and inform management of findings.
• Manage stakeholder expectations through regular communication.

Required profile

• Strong academic foundation with progress toward a professional qualification (ACCA or CIA).
• Ambitious and motivated individual with a keen interest in audit and risk management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across the firm.

• ACCA (or progress toward qualification)
