International Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an International Tax Manager to lead employment, international and workforce tax compliance for a fast‑growing engineering and construction services firm in London. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will support the company’s expansion from 100 to 200 staff across multiple European jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee employment, international and workforce tax compliance for personnel deployed in several European countries.
• Provide strategic tax advice on payroll, social security and cross‑border workforce taxation.
• Develop and maintain tax governance frameworks and policies to ensure adherence to international regulations.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Global Mobility, Payroll, Legal and external advisers to align tax strategies with business objectives.
• Support the company’s growth plan by managing tax aspects of international workforce planning and deployment.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or CTA (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 5 years of experience in employment or international tax.
• Strong knowledge of employment tax, social security and international payroll frameworks.
• Proven experience managing mobile employee populations across Europe and coordinating with external tax advisers.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial modelling and salary‑calculator development.
