About the role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Investigations Caseworker to join a respected UK‑wide healthcare regulator in Birmingham on an initial six‑month temporary contract. You will independently manage fitness‑to‑practice investigations, gather and analyse evidence and produce clear reports that support fair regulatory decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of fitness‑to‑practice investigations.
- Plan investigations and identify required information and evidence.
- Obtain records, statements and supporting documentation from relevant parties.
- Review and analyse complex information to pinpoint key facts and regulatory issues.
- Prepare clear, evidence‑based investigation reports with recommendations.
- Progress cases efficiently while meeting internal procedures, quality standards and deadlines.
Required profile
- Experience in investigations, casework or managing evidence‑led files, preferably within a professional, healthcare or public sector regulator.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce concise, well‑reasoned reports.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information objectively and professionally.
- Immediately available or able to start at short notice.
What we offer
- Salary of £31,587 per annum.
- Hybrid working arrangement – two days in the Birmingham office and three days remote.
- Six‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of extension.
