IT Asset Analyst – Service Intelligence & IT Asset Management

About the role

The Service Intelligence/IT Asset Management function supports the organisation by monitoring and maintaining IT asset tools such as BMC Discovery/Asset/CMDB and Flexera Flexnet Manager Suite. The analyst provides key IT Asset Services to Vocalink Limited (VLL) and Vocalink International (VIL) and reports to the IT Asset Management Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Support Lead Analysts with BMC Discovery baseline reporting, gap analysis and issue resolution.
• Provide SME expertise for internal audit and controls related to ISO27001, ISAE3000 and external vendor audits.
• Promote ITAM governance, methodology compliance and licensing/contractual requirements for key vendors.
• Manage IT Asset Management tools, oversee Software Asset Management and coach junior team members.
• Create and maintain Power BI dashboards for business consumption.
• Develop enterprise‑wide IT Asset Management standards, procedures and functional documentation.
• Maintain accurate data tracking, reporting and risk mitigation in collaboration with the Risk Champion.

Required profile

• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with BMC Discovery/CMDB or similar tools.
• Experience with Flexera Flexnet Manager Suite/Data Platform or similar tools.
• Ability to analyse large data sets from multiple sources and present them meaningfully.
• Problem‑solving capability with experience handling several issues at once.
• Understanding of Vocalink processes and the payments industry is desirable.
