Item Coding Analyst

About the role

The Item Coding Analyst joins Circana’s data team in London, supporting the coding and maintenance of consumer packaged goods (CPG) items. You will ensure that product information follows Circana’s standards, contributing to high‑quality data that powers insights for leading brands and retailers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and audit item coding in Fusion and IRIS systems to guarantee data integrity.
• Code new CPG items, assigning descriptions, brands, manufacturers and attributes according to Circana standards.
• Own day‑to‑day upkeep of assigned Fusion categories and ensure compliance with coding guidelines.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies, errors and IRIS queries.
• Collaborate with the Team Leader to plan and execute large‑scale category audits, managing resources and timelines.
• Provide coding support to Client Service teams and communicate progress and issues to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Experience handling large data sets and performing quality checks.
• Good communication skills for reporting findings to team members and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Fusion data platform.
• Proficiency with IRIS data platform.
