Japanese Speaking Financial Administrator – Hybrid (UK)

About the role

This permanent, hybrid position is based in Hertfordshire and supports the finance team by handling Japanese‑language financial tasks. You will work three days a week in the office and two days from home, collaborating closely with the Japanese headquarters and the UK finance department.

Key responsibilities

• Submit SAP codes in Japanese as directed by the Financial Controller.
• Enter supplier invoices, raise payment runs and process ad‑hoc payments.
• Produce sales invoices, manage debt collection and perform bank reconciliations.
• Enter month‑end journals, record fixed assets and assist with annual internal and external audits.
• Support budgetary processes, financial analysis and VAT return preparation.
• File and archive invoices, process employee expenses and liaise with Japanese headquarters on approvals, contracts and IT matters.

Required profile

• Fluent communication in both English and Japanese, with ability to assist translation.
• Experience in finance or corporate administration is desirable but not essential.
• Basic to intermediate Excel proficiency; familiarity with functions such as SUMIFS, VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables is a plus.
