Junior Geo-Environmental Consultant – Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our growing team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will support a variety of contaminated-land, ground-investigation and brownfield redevelopment projects across the UK, gaining hands-on experience in the field and in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of geo-environmental and contaminated-land projects from Phase 1 desk studies through Phase 2 site investigations.
• Carry out site investigations, including soil sampling, rock logging and groundwater monitoring.
• Prepare and log samples in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support the preparation of risk assessments, remediation strategies and investigation reports.
• Collect, interpret and analyse geological and environmental data.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and internal project teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early-career professional with a degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in geo-environmental work and contaminated-land issues.
• Willingness to work on site in Birmingham and travel to other UK locations as required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills
