Junior Production Merchandiser

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing homeware and accessories business that needs a Junior Production Merchandiser to join its busy, collaborative team. This hybrid role (3 days office, 2 days remote) offers the chance to build on existing purchase‑order experience and work closely with overseas factories and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders from placement through to final delivery, ensuring all details are accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Liaise regularly with overseas factories and suppliers to track production progress and delivery dates.
• Monitor critical production paths, follow up on key milestones and ensure deadlines are met.
• Check supplier acknowledgements, quantities, costs, lead times and delivery information.
• Identify production or delivery issues early and work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve them.
• Maintain accurate systems and reporting, providing clear updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with merchandising, planning, logistics, quality and sales teams to keep orders moving efficiently.
• Build strong supplier relationships and support improvements in performance and on‑time delivery.

Required profile

• Previous experience in production merchandising, buying, purchasing or supply‑chain roles.
• Confidence managing purchase orders throughout the production lifecycle.
• Experience liaising directly with factories or overseas suppliers.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines.
• Proactive, takes ownership, spots problems early and is comfortable making calls to move issues forward.
• Strong communicator who enjoys collaborative, fast‑paced environments.
