Junior Solutions Architect

About the role

This is a 95% remote Junior Solutions Architect position, supporting enterprise integration projects for a diverse client base. You will work alongside experienced Solution Architects and delivery teams, gaining exposure to solution design, architecture best practices, and modern iPaaS technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and documentation of end‑to‑end integration solutions, translating business and technical requirements into clear architectural designs.
• Participate in discovery workshops and requirements‑gathering sessions with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Produce solution documentation including architecture diagrams, integration specifications, data flow maps, and technical design documents.
• Work closely with Integration Developers to ensure solutions are implemented in line with approved designs and best practice.
• Assist in evaluating integration platforms and technologies, focusing on Workato and other leading iPaaS solutions.
• Identify technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies within proposed solutions and escalate where appropriate.
• Support pre‑sales activities such as solution scoping, effort estimation, and proposal preparation.
• Continuously develop knowledge of enterprise architecture, API design, integration patterns, and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a Solution Architect or similar technical role within an integration, software, or technology consultancy environment.
• A background in Business Analysis or Integration Development with a desire to progress into Solution Architecture.
• Good understanding of enterprise integration concepts including REST and SOAP APIs, messaging patterns, event‑driven architecture, and data transformation.
• Experience working with at least one iPaaS or integration platform such as Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, or Azure Integration Services.
• Strong documentation skills with experience producing architecture diagrams and technical documentation using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.
