Kitchen Manager – Richmond

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Manager to lead the kitchen operations at Slug & Lettuce in Richmond. In this leadership position you will shape standards, support and develop the kitchen team, and ensure a safe, efficient service for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, onboard and train new team members in an inclusive manner.
• Lead, guide and develop the kitchen team, providing ongoing training and growth opportunities.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, food safety and a safe, organised workspace.
• Manage the kitchen schedule to meet staffing and labour cost targets.
• Conduct regular stock checks and control costs to achieve performance goals.
• Drive sales growth by fostering strong relationships between kitchen and front‑of‑house teams.

Required profile

• Ability to support, coach and mentor the kitchen team.
• High standard of food knowledge and culinary skill.
• Current knowledge of COSHH, food safety, health & safety and relevant legal requirements.
