About the role
We are seeking a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Druids Heath area of Birmingham from September 2026. This full‑time, ongoing position supports pupils across Key Stage 2, helping them achieve their learning goals in a supportive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Deliver targeted interventions to address learning needs
- Assist the class teacher with daily classroom activities
- Encourage engagement and keep children on task
- Support children with behavioural and additional learning needs
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment
Required profile
- Previous experience in a school, nursery, or support‑worker setting
- Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Ability to commit to full‑time hours, Monday‑Friday
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
