Laboratory Services Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Services Manager to coordinate the daily operations of a cutting‑edge Advanced Materials Innovation Laboratory. You will support laboratory teams by overseeing service delivery, managing consumables and inventory, and ensuring health and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the day‑to‑day operation of a specialised laboratory environment.
• Oversee service delivery and support laboratory teams.
• Manage consumables, stock control and inventory systems.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including COSHH and DSEAR.
• Maintain laboratory standards and support risk assessment processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in laboratory management or a facilities‑based role.
• Previous line‑management experience with strong organisational and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of laboratory health and safety requirements (COSHH, DSEAR, chemical handling, risk assessments).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
