Learning Support Assistant – Full‑time Temporary (Manchester)

About the role

Eden Brown Synergy is recruiting Learning Support Assistants on behalf of a leading further‑education college in Greater Manchester for the new academic year. This full‑time, temporary position involves supporting students with diverse learning, physical, and mental‑health needs, helping them achieve their educational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist students with day‑to‑day learning activities and promote independent learning.
• Provide in‑class support, collaborating with teachers to deliver tailored lessons.
• Offer guidance on academic and personal development, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
• Support learners with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or social, emotional, and mental health needs.
• Promote student well‑being and engagement in school life.

Required profile

• A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to working with students of all abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
• A current DBS check (or willingness to have one arranged by Eden Brown).
• Previous experience in a school setting is advantageous but not essential.
