About the role
We are seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join an innovative specialist school in Southwark. The role involves supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and other learning challenges, helping them develop social, communication and everyday life skills.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils within the classroom.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing behaviour.
- Facilitate activities that enhance interpersonal and communication skills.
- Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and promote a fun, engaging learning environment.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children or adults with learning disabilities.
- Relevant qualification such as a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Criminology or a Level 3 childcare qualification.
- Self‑motivated, resilient and nurturing attitude.
