This senior Commercial Solicitor position leads a Birmingham‑based legal team, delivering a wide range of commercial engagements while shaping service delivery through technology and innovation. The role offers real autonomy, variety and strategic impact within a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor a team of lawyers handling commercial matters across a diverse client portfolio.
• Own end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring quality, timelines and commercial performance.
• Act as senior client relationship lead, embedding yourself in clients' operations and strategic objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean methodologies, legal tech and AI‑assisted tools.
• Contribute to strategic growth, global resourcing models and new service design.
• Recruit, onboard and support junior lawyers to build a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• England & Wales qualified Commercial Solicitor with 8+ years PQE.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• MSP/MSL experience desirable.
• Confidence managing senior stakeholders and client relationships.
• Pragmatic, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Interest in legal technology and AI developments.
