Litigation Assistant – Personal Injury Pre‑Litigation

As a Personal Injury Pre‑Litigation Assistant you will prepare accident claims (road traffic, employer liability, public liability) for litigation, building strong cases, supporting union members and assisting clients after life‑changing events.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and gather evidence to assess whether cases should proceed to litigation.
• Prepare files for issue, including assessing merits, obtaining liability evidence, securing medical reports and instructing experts.
• Manage a high‑volume caseload with accuracy, organisation and confidence.
• Take clear, detailed instructions from clients, witnesses, experts and union partners.
• Make informed decisions under supervision, applying sound judgment and analytical skills.
• Work efficiently within a KPI framework and record time accurately.
• Use a case management system to produce work independently.

Required profile

• 1–2 years’ experience in a legal environment.
• Strong client‑care skills and confidence communicating by phone or in person.
• Knowledge of personal injury law, Pre‑Action Protocols, CPR and funding (or ability to learn quickly).
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and manage a busy caseload.
• Excellent drafting, numeracy and written communication skills.
