Litigation Solicitor – Employment Law

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Litigation Solicitor to join our award‑winning client’s Employment Law team in Manchester. You will manage Employment Tribunal cases from initial claim review through to advocacy, ensuring high‑quality service and commercial awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Review tribunal claims, draft responses and manage document disclosure.
• Prepare trial bundles and assess merits and risks for each case.
• Conduct conciliation, settlement negotiations and preliminary advocacy (telephone, digital or in‑person).
• Identify and prepare witness statements, and liaise with tribunals, claimants and clients.
• Monitor insurance positions and report case prospects to senior management.
• Support the supervision of trainees and junior team members.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with recent litigation experience in Employment Law.
• Strong commercial approach and ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
