M&A Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced M&A Tax Manager to join a leading professional services firm in Birmingham. The role involves providing commercial tax advice throughout the deal lifecycle for UK and international transactions across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tax due diligence on acquisitions and disposals.
• Advise on transaction structures and tax implications.
• Manage client relationships and oversee projects from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Tax, Corporate Finance and Advisory.
• Prepare and review technical reports and client deliverables.
• Support business development initiatives and identify new opportunities.
• Coach and develop junior team members.

Required profile

• ACA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent) with experience in UK corporate tax or transaction tax.
• Strong technical tax knowledge.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive, commercial approach to client work.
