Maintenance Assistant – Cambridge (£32‑34k DOE)

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join a client’s central Cambridge accommodation team. Working from the front service desk, you will handle guest enquiries while delivering routine repairs and upkeep across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Perform painting and refreshing tasks throughout rooms and common areas.
• Carry out room check‑outs, including cleaning and inspection of shower heads.
• Inspect and repair doors, hinges and other joinery items.
• Conduct regular building patrols to spot maintenance needs and health‑and‑safety risks.
• Apply silicone sealing and diagnose bathroom issues.
• Provide general room maintenance and respond to guest service requests.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Previous experience in carpentry or plumbing.
• Comfortable using a wide range of hand and power tools.
• Good knowledge of health‑and‑safety practices.
