Maintenance Lead

About the role

KP Snacks is seeking a Maintenance Lead to own Site Services maintenance across its Ashby de la Zouch plant. You will ensure critical utilities and infrastructure operate reliably while supporting health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of boilers, compressors, plant‑room equipment, effluent treatment systems and other critical assets, ensuring reliability and safe operation.
• Manage statutory servicing, inspections and compliance activities such as LOLER, legionella, sprinkler and fire‑system checks.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, supervise contractors, review risk assessments and method statements, and control permits‑to‑work.
• Drive continuous improvement, support autonomous maintenance and lead reliability projects as part of the zero‑loss journey.
• Provide technical expertise for capital projects and support health & safety investigations.

Required profile

• A recognised engineering apprenticeship or engineering qualification combined with relevant site‑services experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering background, with hands‑on experience of boilers, compressors, pumps, motors and control systems.
• Proven ability to manage contractors, review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records.
