Management Accountant

About the role

This position is with a growing, reputable organisation based in Guildford, offering an initial contract with strong potential to become permanent. The role is hybrid after training and is suitable for a part‑qualified or newly qualified accountant looking to develop their management accounting skills.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with clear commentary on variances against budgets and forecasts.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare accrual and pre‑payment schedules.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers and interest & loan schedules.
• Ensure data in the accounting system is accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and respond to auditor queries.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to produce annual budgets.
• Manage large volumes of financial data using internal systems.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar management accounting role.
• Qualified, QBE, or part‑qualified candidates will be considered.
• Advanced IT and Excel skills.
• Available to start at short notice and based locally.
