Market Risk Vice President

About the role

As a Market Risk Vice President within JPMorgan Chase's Chief Investment Office and Corporate Treasury team, you will work at the heart of the firm’s Risk Management and Compliance function. You will support portfolio managers in making risk‑adjusted decisions, help reduce performance volatility, and ensure transparent market‑risk reporting to senior leadership and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Develop expertise in fixed‑income markets and the CTC portfolio, delivering bespoke analytics and pre‑trade reviews.
• Monitor market‑risk positions to identify material exposures and concentration risks.
• Produce deep‑dive presentations on top risks for senior risk management and the Board.
• Analyse macroeconomic variables and assess their impact on financial projections.
• Update and validate financial models, coordinate implementation timelines, and perform impact assessments.
• Drive process efficiencies and technology initiatives, collaborating with Quantitative Research and Model Review teams.
• Represent CTC Market Risk in cross‑functional projects and deliver timely project outcomes.
• Respond to urgent ad‑hoc requests from senior risk managers.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in risk management, preferably within financial markets.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize research into actionable insights.
• Proven ability to communicate complex risk concepts to senior stakeholders.
