Maths Lecturer – Liverpool (Full‑time Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a Maths Lecturer to join a leading further‑education college in Liverpool. You will deliver engaging mathematics lessons across GCSE, Functional Skills and A‑Level programmes, supporting learners to achieve qualifications and progress to higher education or employment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver inclusive Maths lectures for diverse learner groups.
• Teach GCSE Maths, Functional Skills and/or A‑Level Maths in line with curriculum requirements.
• Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Develop schemes of work and resources aligned with awarding‑body specifications.
• Monitor attendance, achievement and learner wellbeing.
• Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment and collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and assessment.

Required profile

• Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
• A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
• Experience teaching Mathematics in Further Education, Secondary or Adult Learning (desirable).
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Genuine passion for helping learners succeed.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
