MEP BIM Technician – Birmingham

About the role

We are looking for a motivated MEP BIM Technician to join a leading architectural consultancy in Birmingham. You will work alongside architects, engineers and other design professionals to create coordinated MEP BIM models for a variety of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and develop high‑quality MEP BIM models using industry‑standard software.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical and public health services with architectural and structural models.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve design clashes.
• Prepare detailed drawings and construction documentation.
• Ensure models comply with project BIM standards and client requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams throughout all project stages.
• Support continuous improvement of BIM processes and workflows.

Required profile

• Experience as an MEP BIM Technician within a consultancy or building‑services environment.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP.
• Good understanding of BIM Level 2/ISO 19650 standards and coordination processes.
• Experience with Navisworks or similar BIM coordination tools (advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of building services design and construction.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and attention to detail.
