Merchandising Analyst

About the role

The Merchandising Analyst will support our retail business by analysing sales and inventory data to optimise stock levels and drive growth. Based in Trafford, Manchester, you will work closely with buying, planning and finance teams to ensure the right products are available at the right time.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse sales and inventory data to uncover trends and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor stock levels across all retail locations and ensure optimal availability.
• Collaborate with buying and planning teams to forecast demand and manage replenishment.
• Prepare and present regular merchandising performance reports to stakeholders.
• Support pricing strategy implementation to maximise profitability.
• Evaluate promotional campaign effectiveness and recommend adjustments.
• Assist in developing and maintaining category plans aligned with business objectives.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in stock data to maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Background in retail or merchandising and knowledge of industry practices.
• Experience using data analysis tools and software to interpret trends.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
