About the role
The Farnley Academy is seeking an inspirational Modern Foreign Language (MFL) teacher to deliver high‑quality French instruction to secondary students. This permanent, onsite position plays a vital part in our commitment to exceptional student outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured French lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Prepare students for KS4/KS5 examinations and aim for strong exam results.
- Assess student progress and provide targeted support to meet diverse learning needs.
- Contribute to the wider curriculum team and participate in school development initiatives.
Required profile
- Good honours degree and Qualified Teacher Status (or currently on an ITT/GTP programme).
- Proven experience teaching French at KS3/KS4, with a record of successful exam outcomes.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to differentiate lessons.
- Passion for education and a commitment to making a positive difference.
