Mobile Chiller Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mobile Chiller Engineer to join our field service team in London. The role involves travelling to client sites to deliver expert maintenance, fault diagnosis and optimisation of a variety of commercial and industrial chiller systems.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance on air‑cooled, water‑cooled, absorption and adiabatic chillers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults, including compressors, condensers, evaporators and control systems.
• Perform F‑Gas leak detection, recovery and recharging in line with current regulations.
• Identify optimisation opportunities and advise clients on efficiency upgrades.
• Maintain accurate service reports, timesheets and expense records using mobile technology.
• Participate in an on‑call rota for emergency breakdowns.

Required profile

• Relevant vocational qualification such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or City & Guilds 2079.
• Current F‑Gas Category 1 certification.
• Minimum five years’ experience working on commercial and industrial chillers.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation (LOLER, PUWER, confined spaces, working at height).

• Reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Understanding of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics and HVAC principles.
