Montessori Teacher – Early Childhood Education

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Montessori Teacher to join our early childhood team in North London. The role involves delivering Montessori‑based learning for children aged 2‑6, fostering independence and curiosity in a safe, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Montessori activities tailored to each child’s developmental stage.
• Manage daily classroom routines, ensuring safety, organisation and an engaging learning atmosphere.
• Observe, assess and record individual progress, communicating feedback to parents and staff.
• Promote independence, respect and curiosity through positive guidance and modelling.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans aligned with Montessori principles and educational standards.
• Maintain accurate attendance and development records.
• Uphold health and safety regulations at all times.
• Support extracurricular activities and community events related to early childhood education.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in nursery or early childhood settings.
• Strong management and leadership abilities within a childcare environment.
• Fluent English communication, both verbal and written.
• Driving licence preferred for school‑related outings.
• Compassionate, patient and adaptable attitude towards young learners.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Montessori methodologies and principles.
