Motor Hire Senior

About the role

The Motor Hire Senior provides day‑to‑day operational support to the Pending Team Manager, ensuring that pending referrals are actively managed and progressed. Acting as a senior point of contact, the role safeguards quality standards, handles escalations and supports team members. In the manager’s absence, the Senior oversees workload coordination and operational oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Pending Team’s daily workload and ensure referrals meet agreed service levels.
• Monitor pending queues, prioritise urgent cases and review VIP referrals each day.
• Handle complex customer and referrer enquiries, manage challenging conversations and provide accurate updates.
• Review referrals for quality and compliance, ensure security documents are stored correctly and monitor system notes.
• Act as a point of contact for team members, coach colleagues, assist with onboarding and promote team engagement.
• Assist the manager with reporting, performance management and cover management duties during absences.

Required profile

• Strong customer service experience with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise, organise workloads and pay close attention to detail.
• Problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
• Experience coaching or supporting colleagues.
• Good understanding of booking and referral processes.
