National Procurement Manager (Manufacturing)

About the role

This is a senior, autonomous position within a nationwide healthcare manufacturing group that supplies patient handling and mobility products to the NHS, care homes and private clients. The role is primarily remote, with regular travel to six UK sites and occasional trips abroad to support projects in Asia and the USA.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional procurement projects, including planning, reporting and transition to automated workstreams.
• Manage relationships with divisional stakeholders and senior management across the organisation.
• Coach and train procurement staff on best practices and manual procurement processes.
• Oversee supplier performance, conduct analysis and support ESG‑focused decision making.
• Cover Directorship duties when required and ensure compliance with project timelines.
• Travel to UK sites and occasional international locations as needed.

Required profile

• Significant experience in a senior procurement or supply‑chain role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage remote responsibilities.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on an ad‑hoc basis.
• Experience using manual procurement tools and processes.
