National Sales Manager

About the role

The National Sales Manager will lead the business development function for a nationally recognised independent recruiter. This senior, full‑time position is based in Birmingham and focuses on selling recruitment solutions across the UK, with a strong emphasis on the construction sector.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business and achieve sales targets through proactive outreach and networking.
• Conduct sales meetings, presentations and negotiations with prospective clients.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
• Identify market opportunities, develop strategies and drive the sales pipeline forward.
• Meet and exceed activity KPIs, including calls, meetings and proposals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in recruitment sales, preferably within construction or related sectors.
• Track record of consistently over‑achieving sales targets.
• Strong business development and relationship‑building abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of recruitment legislation.
