Night Family Support/Assessment Worker

About the role

Join Dudley Lodge as a Night Family Support/Assessment Worker, providing essential assistance to children and families during the Sunday night shift. This permanent part‑time role (10 hours per week) offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference without prior experience.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with families on a nightly basis, observing and recording parents' ability to meet immediate needs.
• Conduct assessments of family circumstances and identify areas where support is required.
• Document observations accurately and share relevant information with senior staff.
• Provide emotional and practical support to children and parents during night hours.
• Collaborate with the wider care team to develop appropriate intervention plans.

Required profile

• Willingness to work a Sunday night shift (10 hours).
• Commitment to personal and professional development; training and NVQ Level 3 support are provided.
• Positive attitude, empathy and a genuine desire to help families.
• Ability to follow thorough induction and training programmes.
