Night Shift Electrical Engineer – West London

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our night‑time maintenance team at a major airport in West London. Working a fixed night shift from Sunday to Thursday (21:00‑05:00), you will ensure critical electrical infrastructure remains safe and operational during low‑traffic periods.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and remedial work on power systems, lighting networks, distribution units, control panels and backup power equipment.
• Perform rapid fault‑finding and emergency repairs to resolve critical defects before morning operations begin.
• Complete detailed logs, work orders and safety documentation using a digital CMMS on a handheld device.
• Follow strict isolation procedures, issue Permits to Work and prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements in line with airside safety regulations.
• Coordinate with night‑duty shift managers and external contractors to ensure timely completion of complex electrical tasks.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or C&G equivalent) and BS 7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within commercial, industrial or critical‑infrastructure environments.
